Bootland, McGrath and Liv to Detroit...

The Detroit Red Wings have recalled Right Wing Darryl Bootland, Center Evan McGrath, and netminder Stefan Liv from Grand Rapids of the Amerian Hockey League. It is speculated that Liv will backup former Griffins netminder Joey MacDonald in Edmonton on Saturday. They join former Griffins Josh Langfeld, Valtteri Filppula, Niklas Kronwall, Tomas Kopecky, Jiri Hudler, MacDonald, Brett Lebda and Jason Williams on the Wings Roster.
In related moves, the Griffins signed goalie Ryan Cyr and left wing Mike Watt to PTO contracts from Muskegon (UHL). Both are expected to be in the lineup tonight against Peoria.
