Personal:
Plus: An elite skater with great edgework... Shifty and able to turn on a dime... Offensively gifted and creative player... Not afraid to go to the hard areas of the ice to unleash his elite level wrist shot... Powerplay sniper likes to set up on right wing half wall...
Minus: Can be worn down physically... needs to get stronger... Defensive play, though adequate could use further refinement...
Organizational Comments: Red Wings Director of Amateur Scouting - Tyler Wright "We're ecstatic to tell the truth, our theme going into this, we were going after skill and he checked all the boxes. We watched him very close all year. We tried to pick him apart — how creative is he, how good is his hockey sense? We kept coming back time after time and he just wasn't a one-trick pony that just would score. He's got good hockey sense. He creates plays. He's a good character kid. He competes. He kills penalties. Scores in different ways. He's got a good release. Just a very good overall offensive hockey player."
What GRC says: 2018-19 The second half of the season was very similar to the first half for the gifted freshman sniper. He was effective at times and scored some pretty goals, they were just few and far between. He seemed to improve defensively down the stretch and earned a brief NHL recall with the parent Wings. 16 goals and 19 assists in 59 games is a 20-goal pace, which is a decent total. Had a big game in the post-season and should come back next year stronger and ready to challenge for a spot at the big camp.
Summer 2018 Zadina is a slick offensive winger with a knack for scoring big goals. He is an effortless skater and extremely creative with thte puck, using his vision agility to slip into open ice for a quick wrister, usually lighting the lamp behind the opposing netminder. Barring an abysmal training camp, he is likely to start the seaosn with the Wings, but dur to a loophole surrounding his European team loaning him to his Jr team, he is apparently able to be assigned to the AHL if the parent club desires. That could see him slip into the Griffins lineup where he should be an offensive powerhouse especially on the powerplay.

Role: Scoring Winger
Projection: NHL Top 6 Forward
