What GRC says: 2008-09: Peterson came in with very low expectations and managed to turn a short-term injury replacement into a steady role the last portion of the season. The slick skater showed off an excellent first pass, good defensive instincts and the ability to carry the puck up ice during his short stint in the AHL. He was very impressive in the playoffs in his lone appearance, and hopefully laid the groundwork for a longer opportunity in Grand Rapids next season.
Summer 2008: Peterson is reminiscent of a young Brett Ledba in that he is a tremendous skater, but the rest of his game has not caught up yet. He probably will spend most of the season in the ECHL, but his mobility should be an asset when pressed into service in Grand Rapids. |
