D.O.B.: 04/26/84
From: Kingston, Ontario
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 195
Shoots: Right
Drafted: Undrafted
Acquired: Acquired from Manitoba 2/23/07
Personal:
Plus: Good skater... Above average stickhandler... Gritty Physical player, will grind it out or drop the gloves...
Minus: Not offensively gifted... Undersized for role as heavyweight...
Organizational Comments: “We were really looking for someone who could add some grit, work hard, battle, and not be afraid to drop the gloves, I'd never seen him play, but we brought him up, and he has played way above our expectations.” Griffins Head Coach Curt Fraser
What GRC says: 2010-11: A fun player to watch, and a crowd favorite, Keefe was a ball of energy every game, energizing the bench and the crowd with his never say die attitude. Despite limited skills, he was willing to do anything to win, blocking shots, dropping the gloves, and laying some punishing hits. He used his energy well as an effective forechecker and gave 100% every shift. At the end of the season the feisty winger indicated he was hoping to return next season.
Jan 2008: Adam got into some hot water with a stretch of undisciplined play leading to some time in the pressbox. Despite having a decent level of skill, it appears that he is more interested in the physical game than pursuing any offense. If he can find his game, forecheck, put pucks on the net, grind it out in the corners, and play the body, he should be a welcome part of the lineup. If not, he could find himself on the outside looking in.
2006-07: Added energy and toughness in his limited time in a Griffins sweater. Despite the lack of points, showed off some reasonable skill and the ability to play a regular shift. His presence was missed the last few weeks of the season and the playoffs.
March 2007: Keefe will bring some grit and fire to the lineup with his physical play. Adam also has some decent skills for a player of his ilk, and knows what it takes to win, having been a teammate of McGrath's on the 2004 Memorial Cup winning Kitchener Rangers.
Role: Grinding Winger
Projection: AHL Winger
