| Fifty-Nine players were invited to camp in 1988, made up of 7 goalies, 21 defenseman and 31 forwards. Bill White and Doug Stromback were amateur tryout invitees, but both were released after camp. Several future NHL executives were in camp as players including: Gerard Gallant (NHL head coach Columbus), Paul MacLean (Asst. Coach Detroit), John Chabot (Asst. Coach NYI), Mike O'Connell (GM Boston), Jim Nill (Asst GM Detroit), and Glen Hanlon (NHL Head Coach Washington). |
