| 2025 Training Camp Notes |

| The Red Wings had a smaller list of invites than in past years, with 62 players expected in camp. They were comprises of 8 goaltenders, 22 defensemen, 13 Centers, 13 Left Wings, and 6 Right Wings. Prominent newcomers include new starting netminder John Gibson, veteran forwards James van Riemsdyk and Mason Appleton, and defenders Travis Hamonic and Jacob Bernard-Docker. A lot of the excitement is around the growing group of highly rated rookies, this season featuring first round picks Carter Bear, Axel Sandin-Pellikka and Michael Brantsegg-Nygard. Several other plot lines were playing out during the short training camp including whether Brantsegg-Nygard, Elmer Soderblom or Jonatan Berggren can take another step forward and fill the gaping hole in the top six. The next tier featuring Nate Danielson, Amadeus Lombardi, William Wallinder and Sebastien Cossa are trying to force their way into the NHL lineup or establish the pecking order for in-season call-ups.
