Griffins Back Into Last Playoff Spot with 5-1 Loss
Peoria loss overcomes Griffins dreadful finish...

The Griffins finished off an abysmal weekend dropping their third straight game, but still locked up the last playoff spot in the conference thanks to a Peoria loss. Grand Rapids lost a pair to Hamilton and and the last game of the season to Toronto by a combined 12-4 score, not exactly inspiring confidence in a long playoff run. Penalties, giveaways and selfish play were the hallmarks of the final weekend of the season, a trend that hopefully coach Ireland can reverse before the postseason starts.
The tentative schedule for the first round is as follows:
Game 1 @ Manitoba Thursday April 19th
Game 2 @ Manitoba Saturday April 21st
Game 3 @ Grand Rapids Monday April 23rd
Game 4 @ Grand Rapids Wednesday April 25th
Game 5 @ Grand Rapids Friday April 27th if Necessary
Game 6 @ Manitoba Sunday April 29th if Necessary
Game 7 @ Manitoba Tuesday May 1st if Necessary
