The AHL released the 2009 Clear day lists this morning, highlighting the players eligible to play the last month of the season and the playoffs. Despite several strong rumors to the contrary, it appears that Griffins GM Bob McNamara was unable to beef up the blueline by adding another prospect from Dallas (NHL), or arrange a loan from a non-playoff bound team. It would also appear that the injury to Mark Parish at the NHL level has scuttled the forecasted return of Landon Wilson to the playoff roster, both huge blows to the Griffins. As expected, gritty winger Jamie Tardif's injury woes have cost him a spot on the list, and the team chose to keep Darren McCarty's name over Jan Mursak. Those two choices are strictly academic as the team will be able to add players up front when McCarty, Helm and Leino are recalled by Detroit (NHL).
